$250 to pastor's personal clergy funds (used for church matters at his discretion).

We wrote a $200 check for the offering.

I'm Catholic too and never paid anything. The priest does baptisms every week after the last Sunday mass. Maybe if he had done a baptism at a special time just for my child, I would've made a donation but there were a handful of other babies at our ceremony.

We made a $100 offering. I'm Catholic FWIW so there was a special envelope.

Is this only for certain religions? Or if the baptism is a separate rite/ceremony? My DD was baptized as part of a regular service (we're Protestant) and it never occurred to me to pay the pastor.

7:33, you can always send in a donation now with the note saying it is in honor of Larla's easter baptism. They'll take it!!

I think we donated $200 per baptism. It was at our parish church.

Oh my gosh. I had no idea this was a thing, like a wedding? My DS was baptized at our church at Easter. Did I screw up?

Baptism is tomorrow and I only just thought of this now. Also, the event is at my alma mater so am I supposed to make a donation there too?
