I really appreciated her pieces of advice to
Those grieving. I wanted to punch every person in the face that said "your mom is so strong. She will be ok" when she was diagnosed with very advanced cancer. You don't know it will be ok. I know they meant well, but it got so infuriating.

She just doesn't inspire any feeling in me. Everything that comes out of her seems assembled by a team of experts and vetted by her publicist for maximum effect on the masses. The post is at once too personal and too canned.

If you look at pictures of them together, she always seems to have a sparkle in her eyes when she's looking at him. She clearly loved him, and I have to think he knew that.


+1. Also, I did not care for the whole lean in thing, but I very much admired her Facebook post.

I am so glad she was surrounded by nice people when her husband died. When my dad died, I discovered I know a ton of assholes. Two years out, I still haven't forgiven a few people for their insensitive remarks/actions.
