Subject: Electric quote for roll-up garage door
Garage means it's most likely an accessible location (i.e. run wires overhead in the ceiling), unless you have living space above.
Figure about $75 in materials, so I would pay for 1.5 hrs of electrician time inclusive of travel.
People who are handy can do this themselves, as power for a garage door simply means an outlet in the ceiling that you plug the garage door opener into. Running a new outlet to a panel isn't easy for a DIYer, but you can tap into an existing outlet in the garage and "relocate" it (i.e. close up existing outlet and use it as a junction box and run wire from existing to new ceiling outlet - no need to add a new breaker).

It sounds high, do they have to drill through concrete or run it across the entire length of the house, upgrade your box or anything else complicated?
I think we payed about $350 and outlet? We've had a bunch of electrical work done since we moved in, and a lot in the last year. We definitely had an outlet put in, all our kitchen lighting converted to recess lighting, kitchen outlets upgraded to GFCI and something else for about that $1300.
We really liked www.yourelectricians.com They were highly rated on Checkbook Magazine. You might be able to call and ask them to ballpark it for you. Goodluck!

Subject: Electric quote for roll-up garage door
We are having a roll-up garage door installed by Pooner and Sons. We also have to hire an electrician to run electric from the door to the electric panel. We have one quote for $1250 (just the electric). This seems high to me but we are in a time crunch now and I don't want to get more estimates. Can anyone share what they paid for the electric only? Thanks!
