OP here. I guess I'm a push-over. I suspect the camera was stolen when one of the cleaners was sick and the other one came by herself. They are both very nice to me and gave gifts to DD and DS when my daughter was born two months ago. I guess I'll tell them at the end of the next cleaning not to come again.

Agree, you already think there is a chance that they took something. No way I would let them back in after I gave them notice, especially since you have suspicions already.

If you give them notice and allow them in, it may be an opportunity for other items to go missing.

There's no contract

I want to hire different house cleaners. Do I need to give my current house cleaners two weeks notice or can I just tell them at the end of the next cleaning that I don't need them anymore? I've had them about 5 months and they clean every two weeks. If it makes a difference, I suspect one of them stole my camera, although I'm not 100% sure it hasn't been misplaced.
