Agree with PPs, blot off excess marinade, cook rare or medium rare, and off course, cut against the grain.

Flank steak is a tough cut. If you do not marinate it, it's like chewing shoe leather.



It just has to be cooked medium rare.

Flank steak is a tough cut. If you do not marinate it, it's like chewing shoe leather.

Equal parts grapefruit juice and soy sauce, plus a small bit of olive oil. If you're feeling fancy, add some chopped garlic and fresh ginger.
