Are you fully committed to the scotch broom? Would you consider replacing it with something else since it's invasive?

OP here. Come to think of it, I originally moved the Bapista in the summer and it did survive.

You can probably move plants now if you keep them watered through the summer. Fall is usually recommended because there will be no drought stress.

I have a 5' Scotch Broom and a 3' foot tall False Indigo (Baptista?) and want to move them both. They have finished their spring bloom.
Can I move them now, before they grow any more and are harder to move - or, wait until fall? And why if in the fall?
