You plan your life based on what others prefer?

Not PP, but in this case, if OP doesn't have a strong feeling either way, why not involve the other people impacted by the decision?

OP here. Nobody else would be impacted.

I'm very involved with my church, including singing in the choir, so I'd prefer working Saturday.

Taking church out of consideration, then I'd base it on when would you prefer to have time to spend with your kids. Since they are teens, I'd ask if they have a preference as to which day you aren't available.

Always preferred to work Sundays, when given a choice. I like having a week day off for doctors' appointments, deliveries, and the stores aren't as crowded.

I would pick Saturday so that I could go to church with my kids. What a nice option to have!

Anything I'm choose, I'm only obligated to work the weekend shifts, the rest I choose.

Currently In my healthcare job, I work only every other sat and sun 830-430. We will be going to 12 hour shifts soon.
So I will have to work 830am-830pm on either Saturday or Sunday every OTHER weekend.
I have many many days off but I pick up work on many of my days off, I choose the days.

So, would you prefer to work all day Saturday or all day Sunday?

Options are:
A-every other Saturday 12 hr
B-every other Sunday 12 hr
C- I could also do Saturday one time and sunday the next, which would look like this in a month:
Weekend 1 Saturday 12 hr
Weekend 2 off
Weekend 3 Sunday 12 hr
Weekend 4 off
