Like the PP, we went to England - and Wales - last June. We were there for two weeks, and, during that time, we experienced hot weather, cool weather, dry weather, and wet weather. Such is life in the UK! I am from England originally, so this was no surprise to me. We packed layers, and wore everything from shorts and t-shirts to rain coats and light fleece jackets. We didn't pack wellies, but they would have been useful for our walks and hikes in Oxfordshire and Wales. We wore Keens and Chacos and they were fine, however.

To give you a sense of how quickly the weather can change, we were at the beach in South Wales (Tenby) for three days. One day we walked on the beach in the cold pouring rain, wearing rain coats (our DS actually went in the sea while wearing his rain coat!). The next day, we played on the same beach in the baking sun (and our DS swam in the sea in his swim suit). By the time we got to London a few days later, the weather had evened out and was absolutely perfect. Mid 70s, sunny, and gorgeous - every day.

Have a great trip!

We went to London at the end of June last summer and by the end of our trip, it was hot! I brought a couple light sweaters and a denim jacket and I was fine. My kids were in shorts. I would do layers - things you wear around here in spring and fall.

I am always too hot in England in May, let alone June.

Fleeces & sweaters! We were co-co-co-cold in June in merrie olde England!

Where are you going? Actually, no matter where you're going, bring wellies and a light raincoat. It rained today (in London) and I believe it rains nearly every day in Wales
You might get lucky and get the sunshine but rain is unfortunately just as likely

What do you plan to do? If you will be in the city mostly, then you can skip the boots. If you'll be walking in the countryside or doing lots of outdoor adventures, then bring your boots!

Rain coats for sure. Boots depends on how much walking you'll be doing and where. If you're going to be outside a lot, or want to walk through the fields, I'd bring them. If you're just checking out museums, maybe not.

Boots? No. but shoes that can handle the wet. Rain coats? Yes.

Should I bring rain boots? Rain coats?
