We have a Crate & Barrel chair that's a lot like that. With ours, the trick to getting the slipcover back on is to put it on diagonally, for lack of a better term.

Get things aligned for one of the arms, then sort of drape it over the back and put on the opposite corner. Then pull down in the front to get it on the other arm. Then pull down the back.

Does that help at all?

We rec'd two...one for each child when these chairs were first introduced about seven years ago. The chairs lasted maybe two years.

Donated my son's chair (and it was embroidered with his name, a common one) and for my DD, I took the washed cover to a tailor shop and had a pillow made out of the top portion/her embroidered name.

Sorry, OP. I recall not being able to get the cover adequately clean and so resorted to the pillow.

I hate this chair too. It was a gift to my child - the largest chair available. I so wish DC was gifted a different type of chair/beanbag.

Ugh, I hate these chairs, they are such a huge, huge waste of money. Put the cover on while it is still damp, the fabric will stretch. That is seriously the only way.

Ds had this pottery barn chair in the larger size https://www.google.com/search?q=pottery+barn+kids.chair&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS621US621&espv=1&hl=en-US&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sboxchip=Images&sa=X&ei=hrRsVZy0KMzYsAWui4GICw&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAg&biw=320&bih=404#imgrc=_

I washed the cover yesterday and went to put it back on today and I swear it does not go on properly. I've reassembled it like 10 times and it's still wonky. What's the trick?!
