if one of your embryos implants in the lining of your uterus then you will not have a period. Any other egg(s) that gets released just disappears and dies if it is not fertilized.
Have a period does not flush your eggs out... it is the shedding of the lining of the uterus because there is no embryo and therefore there is no nourishment(blood) needed.
They get reabsorbed- not die but I get what you mean.

I wanted to do egg donation but on the day of retrieval the doctor told me my egg follicles are small to be taken it’s been 32 hours now and I hI have a serious lower abdominal pain

This is why, however, one of the main reasons that my RE says no unprotected intercourse during an IVF cycle. Just in case they miss a few eggs and they do get released they don't want to run the risk of these fertilizing and implanting along with the embryo they transfer.

Thanks for clarifying. I am just freaked out that I still have about 14 follicles ~10mm each inside me, since it's not a microscopic smth, I am just concerned how this mass will "just die and disappear". We're talking a few cubic inches of volume here...
No worries. Your body will should have zero problems absorbing this.

No, you don't get a period with BFP. (Some women experience spotting and bleeding during pregnancy for different reasons, but none of that is an actual period.)

There is a risk of ovarian cysts after IVF but it almost always resolves on its own and presents no symptoms.

Subject: What happens with un-retrieved eggs?
If you have X number of follicles and then only half get retrieved, what happens to the rest? The Dr. who did my ER said the rest were small (under 14 mm). But what happens now? If IVF results in BFP will I still have a period flushing out all these extra follicles?
