OP here - I'm at GW and ordered through Freedom. I am 100% out of pocket on this entire process so I'm pretty pissed if my nurse has just wasted $1500 of my hard-earned money. Who decides on the order - the doctor or the nurse?

If this is true, I don't see why we need more people commenting, especially saying it's impossible. OP I think you have what you need.

doesn't exactly answer the question since most people order drugs online (freedom, etc). So how exactly doe the OP have what they need?!

No, it's against the law in all states. Once the drug has been issued to you in your name the pharmacy is not supposed to take it back (except in case of error).

You can donate them to overseas organizations.

OP I had the same issue my first cycle because my craptastic SG nurse had me way overorder mrds to the tune of several thousand dollars. Some clinics will accept donated meds but you won't recoup anything. There is also a website where people sell fertility meds but it is, as a PP pointed out, illegal.

The pharmacy in the same building as Shady Grove will buy back non-refrigerated Rx meds that were purchased there.

Even if they're still in the sealed boxes? That sucks. Such a waste of (a lot of) money.

No reputable pharmacy will buy back drugs. They have no way of knowing what you did to the drugs while they were in your possession. Expensive drugs (like many fertility drugs) have black market counterfeits for sale on the Internet.

There are some health organizations that work overseas that will accept some prescription drugs (mostly antibiotics) for serving populations in need.

I have a lot of extra. Not sure if I should hold on to it for a future cycle (which I may or may not need but probably can't afford) or see if I can recoup some money from a pharmacy that might buy it back.
