Sorry, just saw this. Julio Chevez of (I think) Chevez Air. I can't remember exactly but it was only a few days. It was maybe 10 or 11,000? We are in a small row house.
^^Me again--this was just last year. This is our second summer with AC.

We have had mini split and high velocity. Definitely prefer high velocity. The large wall unit & remote control (vs. Nest thermostat) are not great.

We have high velocity from Sila and are very happy. Well worth not having to do duct work.

Am I the only one who finds the big wall unit for the min-split to be a complete deal breaker? And the need to use a remote control? i see very little advantage over window units.

I have done high velocity in three DC row houses and have been extremely happy. We used Rich Abernathy at Air Cool & Heating.

We have high velocity. It is fine, but if i could do it over i would do minisplits. You dont have any control over the temperature of each room with high velocity.

High velocity isn't ideal the systems are more expensive and there is just too much air blowing. I would rather have a split or regular ducts because of maintenance and lower air speed.

Any recommendations which system might work best? Each contractor who comes in tells us something different about what would work best in our Victorian rowhouse. Any contractor recs that are good to work with?
