If they don't pull their weapons, it's fine with me. I can see, given what happened in Paris, and what happened in TX recently, why they would want to be sure they are armed. If they are in their legal rights to carry, they are within their legal rights. If they start shooting without physical provocation, then I will take issue.


Protesting is one thing, brandishing weapons scaring worshippers, some of whom are children is taking it to a whole other level. One freedom can't trump another.

Don't get it twisted, this is not about free speech. Using the first amendment and the civil liberties that this country provides to instigate hate and fear for an entire religion and group of people, and inciting riots is idiotic.There is a supposedly planned armed protest by bikers in Arizona outside of a mosque tomorrow where they planned to come en masse with cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad saw. "Prior to gathering outside of the mosque, the motorcyclists say they’ll meet in a nearby Denny’s parking lot, where they’ll have a “Muhammad cartoon contest.” They plan to take the images of Islam’s prophet to the Islamic Community Center at 6:15 that evening , a time when the Muslim community is expected to gather inside." What problems, do you think if any events like this will solve? The FBI is currently investigating threatening letters that were sent to the mosque. You are kidding yourself if you think that events like this are in any way shape or form for the advancement of free speech and lastly free speech does not protect the right to incite actions that would harm others.

Did the Jewish people try to kill those that left anti-Semitic papers on their lawns recently? No. If these bikers get attacked, that's the decision of Muslims to do so.

I'm not a fan of an outsider who tried to make millions of commuters into a symbolic target in order to prove a point.

I guess I have some reason to support her view when she is personally present where her issue is presented and she has arranged to pay for the security she feels she needs. Acting a little crazy herself (i.e., raising an inflammatory issue) and picking a fight with other crazy people where the other crazy people might be inclined to attack bus passengers simply is not prudent. I'm a little disappointed that banning all Issue Ads was the best solution. Personally, I feel that sensible people can distinguish between prudent and crazy risks. If they cannot, I guess this is a reasonable idea.

Pam Geller's determination to spread hate has just cost METRO millions of dollars. In response to Geller's desire to run ads displaying a cartoon of Muhammad, METRO has decided to stop accepting issue ads for the rest of the year. METRO is not allowed to pick and choose among issue ads, so it had to accept Geller's ad it reject all issue ads.
