We had that in our house and replaced it with a single handle. We are so much happier now...

Seriously, this is a DIY project so long as you buy a onesie with a plate underneath.

Up until 1985 or so, two knobs was the standard. Trust me, you will have no problem get the water to the temperature you need. It's ridiculous that you think this will be hard. Even my bathtub has two knobs. Back in the 1930's, most sinks had two entirely separate faucets and the only way to mix hot and cold was to fill up the sink. Anyway, if two knobs is really going to ruin your day, you can have a plumber replace it in less than an hour.

First world problem at its finest. I find that it is both more convenient and aesthetically pleasing when a kitchen faucet has 2 knobs.

I just redid my kitchen and made certain to have separate hot and cold handles. Simpler with younger children, more accurate control. All the cheap flips have the all-in-one, most often in rubbed bronze, which is now like "builders white", except it's now "stager's grey".

How can this be a problem? It is so not a problem I thought this post would be about managing with separate spouts for hot and cold as you sometimes see in much older houses or in Europe. I was looking forward to the answers.

How is it installed? Is it possible to replace the fixture with on that has the single handle? It should be a cinch to do it if the fixture is something like 00:03 posted.

R U 4 real ? I have a brand new custom built house and had separate hot and cold handles put in on purpose. Had every kind imaginable and was never happy. Now I am happy.

This looks like a 1990's faucet. I hate the separate sprayer. I like the faucet higher so big pots can go under it. I also like the single knob for hot and cold.

See how it goes and change it out if you don't like it after a few weeks. Not a big deal at all...

I hate separate knobs too. But luckily, changing out a faucet is easy business - no more than an hour with a handyman if you aren't handy yourself.

OP here. I am indeed, for real. They look beautiful but I spend a lot of time doing dishes and I've always had a single knob that I could just turn on and have the right temp of water. I have never seen something like this in a kitchen - apparently I need to spend more time in high end custom kitchens.

I know what you mean OP. My brother has separate knobs at his house and it would drive me nuts. It's a pretty easy thing to change though.

???? It is very common to have separate knobs on the kitchen faucet. We have this and I've never found it to be a pain in any way. How could it possibly be a HUGE pain?
