we stayed at the oceanfront Marriott which is very nice. Worth the extra money for oceanfront even if it means you shorten your stay.

We stayed at the SpringHill Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront several years ago and were very pleased. All rooms are oceanfront, you park in the garage adjoining the hotel, and it's an easy walk from the property to a lot of restaurants.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn on the boardwalk for a family funeral. It was fine. There are two, not sure which one we used.

Prob just look for whatever is avail on TripAdvisor.
I have also heard good things about the Founders Inn.
Norfolk Sheraton is waterfront and walking distance to maritime museum, art museum, USS Wisconsin, boat taxi.
If you are DoD or military you could rent one of the cottages at Dam Neck

We are attending a wedding in VA beach and the host hotel is sold out. My DH and I will make a weekend out of it if we can find a nice hotel without a 3 night min. Does anyone have recommendations about where to stay?
