I'm the PP who originally posted about the staked rack, and yes, this is the one. I missed that your connection was in the garage, though; the suggestion above to set it in a bucket of sand or concrete is a good one.
I've had wall-mounted racks, reeling racks, etc., and honestly this is the first thing I haven't wanted to throw out the window.

We use those too. We got ours at hardware stores and garden centers.

We have an iron one that stakes into the ground from Home Depot. After years of unwieldy hose reels, etc., I'm very happy with this solution and it works very well. I think it was $30, in the garden section.

Any ideas for a way to store my garden hose?
The connection is in the garage, with concrete walls, and we're renting, so I don't want to mount anything. I don't want to spend a fortune because we won't be here more than a couple of years. I saw one on amazon that slips over the spigot - I like the idea of it but it gets terrible reviews. Any solution I'm missing here so I can stop tripping over the hose??
