It's a horrible message to send to anyone.

Obesity can be corrected.

And I am supposed to "accept myself" if I'm a horrible, mean person who does harm to those around me?

Oh for f sake how does an obese person cause harm to anyone around her? You are and asshole looking for excuses to blame people for your unhappiness.

I'm not talking about obese people in general, honey. I'm refuting the ridiculous statement that blind "self-acceptance" is "key to moving forward." Please put down the new-age self help books, clean up your language a little bit and try to move out of mommy and daddy's basement by the time you turn 30.

I think you should eat something. Would make you a lot less bitchy.

Get over yourself already. Lots of us carry around extra weight. When I first saw the picture of Tess I found myself thinking "Oh she is FAT!" But you know what? I may not be as big as Tess but I'm fat too and I still care about myself. I still enjoy life. And I still have a lot to be proud of. I'm sure that Tess feels the same way about her life.

Why am I not surprised to learn this?

I was not impressed with the cover showing her. Being obese isn't healthy or "cool".

Obesity is unhealthy and should not be celebrated, just like any addiction.

Tess Holiday is on the new cover of people and I just don't know. I think her body is as unhealthy for impressionable young girls as the pin thin ones.
