Our son was happy there but we found they used age-inappropriate behavior systems (traffic light system) which that age group cannot understand. All it did was make our son afraid on the days he ha a rough day and ended up on red and only want to be friends with the "good" kids on green. That said, I hear from a friend there riding out the year that the director is leaving so that might switch it up. I'd say it's a good place for babies and toddlers and but older than that.

Second for First Baptist in Dupont. As someone said here, it is very "church light" but the teachers are extremely experienced and they really address everything kids need at this age: emotional, social, academic, and even physical. It really is a great place. Each teacher has 20+ years of experience (and it shows!).

We are happy at DOL. Great facility, outdoor space, responsive management, and happy kids.

US Kids usually has openings in the Junior and Preschool Rooms. The preschool programis fantastic, and many of the staff members have been there for 10+ years.

Just Us Kids often has preschool openings, even for non-feds.

GWU CCLC Center at 2033 K street NW is wondeful.
We changed from Bright Horizons in NOvember and love it!
