This. I am relatively wealthy, and many of the wealthy men I see in my circles cheat or attempt to cheat.

But sure, money makes other things in life easier. I wouldn't think it a good idea to only look for rich men, but all else being equal, money helps.

There's nothing bad about wanting a rich husband, however using his financial status as the dominant criteria is what's bad. What you want to look for is long-term compatibility otherwise, you'll end up another divorce statistic. If you end up being a good match with long-term potential with someone who is rich, that's a bonus.

It's neither bad nor good, but not a particularly smart choice.

He could divorce you without alimony after years of being the stay at home wife and then where would you be? Or die, and you'd find out that he'd left all his money to someone else. Things like that do happen.

Most people factor in earning potential in their decision to marry, but love and a similar approach to life are usually given more weight.

Guy here, its not bad. When a person is looking for a relationship there should be no shame in looking for your ideal or someone who meets hour needs, whatever those may be.

If you want a guy who's good looking, funny, rich, big D, whatever - ultimately you have to be in the relationship with them. So who cares what other people think?

It's a smart choice to make.
