This! A petition needs to be started. I'm only in favor of a plan that provides significant benefit to DC kids. Otherwise, no way!

After a torrent of public opposition the idea was withdrawn. It's back:
In accordance with section §10-801(a)(4) of the DC Official Code, this letter serves as notice that the
District of Columbia Department of General Services has determined that the Hardy School located at
1550 Foxhall Road, NW (also known as 4470 Foxhall Road, NW) is surplus. Accordingly, the District
intends to amend an existing lease with Lab School of Washington, Inc. ("LSW") to extend term to a
period of greater than twenty (20) years with the LSW. The Department of General Services will host a
public hearing on June 9, 2015 to discuss the surplus designation of the Hardy School and the intent of
the District to amend the existing lease of the school. The hearing will be held at the Hardy School multipurpose
room located 1550 Foxhall Road, NW Washington DC 20007 at 6:30PM.
