This is a ridiculous thread. You don't exfoliate your infant. Of course you wipe off their face, normally with a moist baby wash cloth (just warm water). Not rocket science OP...

You could apply a small bit of coconut oil, then gently wipe off in circular motions with a warm, damp baby-soft washcloth.

For the face you can just use a cotton pad or puff. Nothing more.

For the head you can use a baby hair brush where the bristles are all soft and close together. With olive oil and using that brush in soft gentle circular strokes, during a bath, you should be able to address the cradle cap at least.

Don't worry op, yogi sound pretty nor,sl to me. The rest of the moms that posted are those elite .001% who never made any mistakes during their parenting and knew everything intuitively.

My daughter also had eczema. I washed with water, gently massaged baby soap over the face - starting in the middle of the forehead and then moving around & down to the chin, then gently rinsed with water. Pat dry - don't wipe.

With eczema, you don't want to rub, scrub, or irritate the skin. Let it air dry for at least half an hour before you put lotion on. I liked putting a tiny bit of coconut oil after the half hour of airing out. I'd let that absorb for an hour, then put on whatever Rx cream we were using.

How old is your baby? A babies face just needs a rinse with water and pat dry. No soap is needed. For cradle cap in the head, we used coconut oil and a cradle cap brush.

I don't know how old your baby is, but mine had eczema and I gave him flaxseed oil. It really helps, you can also try adding a tiny bit topically.

Ok so nobody washes their baby's face with a soft washcloth, a cotton cloth, a piece of felt etc? Maybe exfoliate is the wrong word...what I want to know is how do you wash your baby's face?

Nothing. They use nothing to exfoliate a baby's face.

I need a life hack for exfoliating baby's face. He has mild eczema and/or cradle cap on the face, and as long as we slather on Aveeno and the anti fungal that the doc prescribed, it keeps it all at bay. But with all that slathering he's starting to get a little gunky and greasy esp around the forehead. I need a good tip for cleaning his face with a little exfoliation. Maybe just baby washcloth? Someone told me to use a soft toothbrush for shampooing and cradle cap and that tip was so helpful. Any household tricks you use?
