- various teas if she's a tea drinker
- assorted healthy snacks, chocolates
- crossword puzzle books
- aromatherapy pillow with lavender seeds
- giftcard to a place with great takeout/delivery food

Some nice lotion and beauty type products. It just feels good to pamper a little.
A nice candle to keep on her nightstand.
New pajamas. You spend a lot of time in the same pajamas and lounge clothes so a fresh, new pair feels like a little luxury.
Snacks. Not much, she might not be very hungry depending on medication. But it is a nice treat and nice to not have to get up to the kitchen.

What about adding one of those comfortable pillows with arms? We call them "husbands" but I'm sure that's something my mother made up!![]()
If she has the iPad, why not talk to her about apps that can be added. You can walk her through them prior to the surgery. I'm currently obsessed with Star Mania, a real time suck. I play while sitting in the backyard in the evenings just to unwind. Some people have the same relationship with Sudoku.
Someone mentioned Netflix. HuluPlus is also very good.
She'll be on pain meds so nothing that requires too much focused energy should be good.
