-They are entertaining as a bluegrass/country family band.
-The show is overly sickly sweet, the way tlc portrayed the Duggars and Jon & Kate early on.
-8 girls, 4 boys - Some strange "flowers in the attic" undertones among some of the teens. Especially when the teen boys are flexing their peck muscles in the mirror and all their sisters are oogling them. Also the comment "They could be lady killers but we won't let them be" Just kinda backwood.
-Dad has a creep vibe, I believe this is required for a TLC show with a big family.
-TRAGIC hearing about how the father (and his mother and father) lost 6 young siblings in a car accident, I had a thought that maybe that is why he wanted such a super sized family.
-Also tragic hearing there home burned down ten years ago and they haven't rebuilt. I do hope they visit those horses enough (they left them on their land).
Don't know if I'll be watching again, no one story really caught my attention.
Anyone else watch?
I swear I caught myself thinking that two of the older siblings were a married couple then I realized..."oh shit, they're siblings." I felt bad afterwards, because they seem like a nice family and honestly, there probably isn't anything weird going on but I did think it for a second there.
Also, they mentioned dating and I wondered, like I do when I watch 19 kids and counting, if any of them will turn out to be gay. They mentioned often that they are Christian but they don't seem quite as fundy as the 19 kids bunch, I wonder how they'd handle it.
And about the car accident, that was some heavy shit for such a happy family. Damn, how horrible and traumatic for that man.
