I would if I had to. But we don't get many date nights and that's one of the few we usually have, so I'd be bummed and try to schedule a date night soon.

Wow that's impressive. We might go out four days a YEAR on our own.

Just go out to dinner and plan another anniversary dinner when the babysitter is available. What's the big deal? And why wouldn't you know whether your dh would mind? It's been 13 years, you should know without asking him.

Our twins have come to our anniversary dinner all 3 years they've been alive (soon to be 4). We had 9 anniversary dinners for just the two of us, so we don't mind celebrating the successive ones as a family of four.

We've always taken our kids with us for anniversary dinners. We celebrate the beginning of our family unit.

This will be our 13th anniversary. Our son is 10. Our sitter cancelled on us. For various reasons, not options for other sitters exist. I have no problem with him joining us - not sure how DH will feel.
