This is my fear. I've been wearing contacts for about 15 years and I'm finding lately my eyes get so irritated.
Your fear is wearing glasses!?
Uh no my fear is that I won't have the Option to wear contacts anymore and will need LASIK. [/quote
If you don't have the option to wear contacts, you don't have to have LASIK. Glasses are a good alternative.
NP. For me, wearing contacts isn't about vanity. I see much better with contacts. My eyes are pretty bad -8 in one and -5 in another. Wearing glasses means I have no peripheral vision and I see worse at night. Also given the discrepancy in my scrip I see things smaller with one corrected eye than another when wearing glasses.

Anonymous wrote:Have you tried the dailies? About a year ago (I'm 53) tolerate the monthly contacts due to allergies so I switched to dailies and it took a few weeks to get used to them but now I love having thin, fresh contacts on every day.

Anonymous wrote:When did the irritation start? I've been wearing contacts for 30 yrs. I can no longer wear them in the spring. The allergies make it impossible so I just don't bother. But once summer hits, I can put them back in.
