The PSI can definitely be prepped for, at least parts of it.

By buying the testing materials and familiarizing your child. There are also "prep" places that offer this service. Totally unethical, but it happens.

For WISC? I know they are available for the cogat and nnat, hadn't heard that about the wisc.

2. Many people on this forum assume that cogAT and NNAT scores are IQ scores, which they are not

3. Any attempt to prep for an IQ test invalidates the score

That's why I specifcally mentioned wisc-iv
And how can anyone prep for IQ test?

This is probably the same poster that stated almost the exact same thing on another thread about cogat and NNAT tests not being IQ tests. I've never seen anyone on here claim that, so not sure why he/she thinks it is a common misconception. I also don't think prepping for the WISC is a thing.

I'm a different poster. Just because you haven't seen it yourself, doesn't mean it hasn't been discussed. I've been on this AAP forum for a year and I've seen it several times.

Yes it is. This definitely is not a representative sample. It's funny to me to hear people say how low a 120 or 125 iq is too when someone reports that score. That's the top 5-10% of the population!

Yes.

You're reading it in a forum for AAP which is not a cross section of the population. Other than the many trolls, this forum self-selects for folks in the upper portion of scores.
