I am the PP. No. DS was initially rejected with low test scores and 16 for GBRS. My original parent input did not help him. The only thing that was going to get him admitted on appeal was his WISC score, which was high enough to validate the GBRS.
Thanks for this, PP. I'm in a similar situation with DC. What score on the WISC IV would reverse ineligibility? How does your DS like the program?
My DS had a score of 144, but I have heard score of 130 or higher would reverse ineligibility. I don't think there is an established WISC score that the committee uses to determine eligibility.
My DS loves the program. He made new friends at the center. He likes his teachers. He is learning. All around it has been a positive experience.
