If you go to Savvy Rest, you should look at Urban Mattress across the street. They have a number of memory foam and latex options and are really knowledgeable.

Select comfort type mattresses. Dh and I bought one back in 1999. My dh moves a lot in his sleep and was constantly waking me. Not anymore.

Based on reading there, we bought a split King (two Twin XL mattresses) and box spring set from charlesprogers.com.

OMG. Nirvana. We are 100% thrilled.

I like our hybrid mattress -- foam on top to help with the motion, springs on the bottom to feel like a traditional mattress. It's supposedly eco-foam and did not off-gas like memory foam does. That's one benefit of latex, I've heard, that it does not off-gas at all. But I've read that it's hard to get used to - it's bouncy rather than sink-in.

I'm a very light sleeper, and find any kind of foam is good. Just make sure there are no springs anywhere. Go try out the all-foam mattresses at Ikea. Some are dense foam, some have memory foam layers, and some are latex.

Hi there, we're about to buy a new king size mattress and I saw a few threads here in archive that mention buying latex being good (from Ikea). Also some about tempurpedic.

Just wondering, for those who have latex, why do you like it? What's different about it?

And aside from tempurpedic, what other brands and styles are good so that if you have a restless partner sleeping next to you, you feel it the least? I think that's what memory foam is supposed to do, but which brands and styles "localize movement" the best?
