OP here. Hes never done ABA (yet!) and gets almost daily private speech and OT. Doubtful he could learn in a small group. Any other options?

If you think he has the potential to learn in a small group setting (with lots of adult support), likely PEP INC. If you know that ABA really works for him, then it's worth looking at CAPP (the autism program at Rosemary Hills), but it's a long day.

What is your school zone? We are North Bethesda, zoned for Garret Park, so right next to Kensington. My son is at Luxmanor and I seriously love it. Teachers are amazing!

I don't know anything! He turns 3 next week and hasnt been tested by Child Find or anything yet. He only had an IFSP from I&T.

What's the Autism program at Rosemary Hills like? How severe? How many days is the program? And then what are the PEP autism placements like?

THANKS!!

Are you sure that he's going to PEP, and just waiting to hear which one, or are you also considering the preschool autism program at Rosemary Hills?

I would think that the most likely options would be PEP INC at Stephen Knolls, and the Autism program at Rosemary Hills.

Possibly Rosemary Hills. There's an autism program there. Haven't they told you yet?

My guess it the Stephen Knolls school. They have all of the PEP options there. No typical peers but we really liked it, especially the lunch setup with students going to the cafeteria. We did typical peer exposure in other ways. Also, they have a therapy pool and better pt/ot equipment than the PEP class we went to after we moved.

Hi!

Any ideas or thoughts as to where my almost 3 year old son with ASD will be placed in the fall with PEP? He's nonverbal, can follow simple 1 step directions and uses some picture exchange. We live in Kensington. I don't know anything about the PEP placement options. THANKS!
