I bought surefit essential twill. They are made to accommodate larger, overstuffed furniture, so I had to tailor mine (put on your couch inside out and pin to fit, then remove and sew). If you are going to tailor, don't buy ones with piping/trim at the seams.

They look decent, but are obviously slipcovers.

You can also have custom one made, by a reupholstery shop. The quote I got was $500 each, which I would rather put towards reupholstery in a few years.

I hate my couch but want to wait on getting a new one until the kids are a bit older/more responsible. Has anyone had any luck with a slipcover? Brand? Material? Color? Etc.
