How do you know what your First or Second Grader is doing in school on a daily basis without access to homework, or whether she is being challenged sufficiently or not mastering basic concepts? You should speak with teachers who think that lack of homework is shortsighted. Homework ca instill a work ethic and time management skills as the load increases. it doesn't need to be overwhelmingly lower grades. Just a few minutes of spelling, writing sentences and ASIC math facts.
