Get a mini crowbar. Stanley has branded theirs the "Wonder Bar" and I agree. It has come in handy for so many things around the house

Go to HD or Lowes and ask for either a different hammer, prying tool or other nail remover. Ask for some spackle, spackle tool and sand paper for repairs. Put some spackle in the hole, smooth, wait to dry and sand. Paint over.

Thx for the responses.

No, my current hammer didn't have the claw at the other end which is why I didn't know what to do.

Guess my only option is the pliers. Keeping my fingers crossed that they work.

If there isn't space to wedge the claw under the nail head you can also try pulling straight out with a pair of pliers.

Two other tips-- put a cloth between the hammer and the wall to keep from smudging or damaging your paint further. Also, use OOK hooks for pictures. They leave a much smaller hole when they come out and you can get away without re-filling them for a long time.

Do you have a hammer? Presumably it has a claw end, yes? Hook the claw under the nail and rock the hammerhead forward until the nail comes out. Check YouTube if that doesn't make sense to you.

I recently hung up some pictures on my wall in my new apartment, yet some of the nails I nailed in too high, too low, etc. and I need to remove them in order to re-nail them.

However, for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get them out of the wall.

Any solutions would be wonderful.
