Try Tiffany at Lux Studios in Bethesda. I talked with her about doing the same thing but have not done it yet. She explained in detail what the process/timeline would be.

She is wonderful, kind, and always on time!

I still get these highlights, but I have gone six months in between, and it all blends very well. I'm not quite ready to go 100% gray, since the back of my head has stayed dark, but this would work well for someone who does want to go that route.

My hair doesn't feel scorched at all. Even better, no more solutions on my scalp, which was becoming sensitive after years of dying.

So are you allowing grey hair to blend in the front? Do you look very blonde?

I look like a blonde with lots of streaks. If you had to say my hair color, you would say blonde, but it's all blended blonde and gray.

As I said, I went six months between highlights, and it looked great. I only had them redone recently because the back of my head (not front or sides) still grows in very dark.

Do you think they can help someone transition to grey who has dyed hair with color and highlights previously without scorching their hair?

I really want to transition to grey hair since I am tired of dying and I have seen lots of beautiful women with grey hair. Any recommendations for a hairdresser in DC who can ease the transition with shoulder length hair which I want to keep with minimal hair coloring/bleaching.

I appreciate any info.
