Homeward Bound for the dog aspect. It's a family movie I've seen many times, but I still bawl my eyes out at the end.

White Fang is good too...book or movie

Pan's Labyrynth is one of the saddest movies I've ever seen. You will cry. Brokeback Mountain is super sad, and there's a scene at the end that it devastating. Enjoy!

"My Dog Skip" for a tear-jerker dog story.

For an oldie, "Brian's Song," about Gale Sayers and Brian Piccolo, football players.

Do you want an "ugly cry"? Like jagged sobbing? Like you'll cry about it tomorrow too? Like you'll tear up a week later when you think about it? I've got two for you: Dancer in the Dark and Frances (Jessica Lange).

If you don't want it that extreme, don't watch those.

I needed a good cry and I just read the news. Sadly, it did the trick . The world seems like a sucky place lately!

Hope you find what you're looking for.

I feel so tired and frustrated and like I need a good cry - hormones for sure!!
Appreciate your recommendations for a good tear jerker, no "Beaches" though!, never cry watching for that one, FWIW, but a good dog story always gets me
Thanks fellow parents of young ones!
