Last year, the orientation was on a MONDAY AFTERNOON -- which aren't available this year. That was an easy time to have teachers available and the space to have a meeting available. This year, the schools have to find a time when they can get teachers to come at night and find space when there might be other activities going on. They have to come up with a new plan and it may be taking them time to pull it all together.
Assume first or second week of May in the evening. (my kid's school has it posted and it is at 6:00 pm. on a weeknight second week of May).
My DC's orientation was not on a Monday afternoon. It was in the middle of the school day on some other day, can't remember which day, but I do remember taking him back to his base school after it was over. Don't assume it will be in the evening.
Just curious - so kids attend the orientation too with the parents? I didn't know.

What kind of job do people have that one parent has difficulty blocking out an afternoon with "only" 2 weeks notice most times. Yes, on occasion it might be hard, but usually it works out, doesn't it?
