13:35 here again. I forgot, they're actually the width of the bed plus the end tables. There are matching tables and lamps on either side and it ties it together pretty well. They go up the ceiling.

We had to do that too, but we just had one small window in the center - it is one of those cape attic-y kind of bedrooms. I put sheers and curtains the width of the bed behind it. We had to do this too in our new house. Our bedroom windows have white plantation shutters. The thick frame around the shutters mimics the thick, white crown molding.

I had to do this in my bedroom - bed centered in front of one of the room's three windows. I didn't put drapes on the windows - just blinds.

I don't mind it except during storms - it's a little creepy and loud during periods of high wind and heavy rain.

we are moving into our new place and in the master bedroom the only workable place to put the bed is in front of a pair of side by side windows.

How would you handle the window coverings? That wall in 13 feet long, the windows are centered and the bed would be too?

Do drapes from the ceiling in front of the windows?

Drapes hung from the ceiling the entire width of the wall?

Other suggestion?

Our queen bed has a curved tufted headboard that's rather tall.
