+1. Sorry. Petworth is just not worth that kind of money.

The blue sink screams "the contractor had an extra one of these." Otherwise it makes no sense.

Where? In what nicer neighborhood in DC can you find a comparable house for this price? People who throw this sort of thing out make it seem like this house in Cleveland Park wouldn't be hundreds of thousands more. Hell, Capitol Hill is more expensive and I don't think it's considerably safer than those neighborhood.

I'm the above PP- I'd look outside of DC. I'm not delusional enough to think I'd find that space and those upgrades in a nicer neighborhood. I lived in a crime ridden neighborhood in my 20's... I'll go suburban before I do that again.

+1000, not when you pay close to 1M. DC buyers must stop drinking that koolaid. I know that area very well, and would never ever pay - in fact I would never live permanently over there.

Two others in the area under contract for at least 800K

PP here. I don't know contract price. List price was 950K. I am assuming sale price will be close to this given the short amount of time it was on the market.

The finishes don't seem all that special in this house. And why don't they have pictures of the bedrooms?

Maybe not an exactly comparable house, but a nice enough house in a place like AU Park, for instance. I'd rather have less house, but not deal with so much crime, not to mention the school lottery anguish.

Price seems a little high, but I definitely think it will sell for over $800K. Seems nice. But the sheer volume of crime in that area is real concern.

Heard folks were walking down Upshur shooting up cars about a month a go.

So apparently there is no upper price on townhouses in Petworth.

Not the realtor here. Just wondering how high these places will go in value.

Interesting this location has seen a significant up tick in crime including several recent shootings.

How high can these places go?
