My husband is North African/Arab, but he's got blond and red haired people in his family (historic invasions, you know).
My son's hair was jet black when born. Fell out and came in very blond, but not toe-headed blond (which I was). Stayed that way until 2 years old and now is medium brown.
I will say while his eyes were blue at birth, they changed to brown almost in a matter of days, it seemed. Most European babies are born with blue eyes but they change to their permanent color by 6-9 months.
What's the texture of your son's hair? Blonde hair is generally very fine, very tiny, but there is LOTS of it. Many hair follicles. So maybe you could tell a bit more from that.
Interesting that your son's hair was jet black and then came in blond! Kind of strange that that happens. I didn't know that most European babies were born with blue eyes, though I had heard a lot of babies' eye color changes by 6-9 months. I guess our baby's eye color could be described as hazel, since it's got so many different colors in it? Good point about the texture of his hair. I hadn't thought of that but you are right that we both have very fine hair and a lot of it! my son also has very fine hair...we shall see!
