OP go with your gut on this.

I am sure you know that something went on. As is typical of people who get caught, they love to deny, deny DENY until they are blue in the face.

They like to brainwash you into thinking YOU are the crazy one which takes all the attention off of them.

You sound like a smart cookie OP for not buying his story.

Never, but he calls me every day. That works for us.

We text constantly, but we are millenials.

Some days not at all. Some days two or three times.

We do quite a bit of Skyping/ IMing from the computer. Sometimes we have a brief phone call at lunch.

Texts are at least once a day, to tell me know where he left the car (he does dropoff and I do pickup with the same car). Usually 5-6 beyond that but it depends on meetings etc.

Once to tell me when he leaves work so I can start the dinner. (I get home first.)

Otherwise, we rarely communicate during the day via any means unless something earthshattering happens.

Mine texts once a day or so just to say he loves me. The other texts tend to be about logistics. We've been together for decades. I'd be stamping out that kind of texting with another woman.

My husband always sends a text when he is leaving work and on his way home (so I can time dinner appropriately). Besides that, most days there are 1 - 2 other texts during the day. Just asking how the day is going, telling something that happened at work, a funny picture, whatever.

Sometimes a reminder in the AM about something to do during the day. Then a short flurry at the end of the day confirming kid pickup and whether either of us has to be later than usual.

Texting is so 5th grade

I've posted before, but that's what caught my DH in his affair - they were texting like school girls more than thirty times a day. He would text her first thing in the morning 365 days. She was a coworker so he still maintains it was "work" related. Yeah right. At 4 AM. Every day. It still makes me over the edge, these denials. Help me see I'm not crazy as he says - that amount of texting is Not Just Friends.
