Guy here who's had it a few times. With guys, you often show symptoms. With women, symptoms are not common.. So she could not have noticed it, or she could be cheating.

The thing is.. how does she know she has it? Docs don't test women for it unless they ask to, or they are pregnant (or sexual assault.. but taht's a different story).

Dude, why would you not? If you've been exposed to chlamydia, by all means, get treated.

Skip the test.. the meds are fairly benign (zithromax) and cheap, so just get a scrip and take them.

it isn't a blame game OP, no doctor or internet article will be able to tell you when you got it, just whether or not you need to be treated.

If you don't want to take medication unnecessarily, get tested first. If she's had it since before you got together, even if you didn't have it then, there's a good chance you have it now. If you do, then even if she gets treated you can re-infect her.

She said that she must have had it for a year and showed no symptoms. Internet is not providing answers. Definitely not from me.
