Dr. Vivek Sinha (http://www.belleviewmedical.com) is great. He's in Alexandria.

Concierge docs don't lose any money by referring patients to specialists. I love the fact that I get super quick appointments at specialists through my concierge doc.

Found a breast lump last month. Emailed my doc that night. Got in to see the breast surgeon at 8:20am the very next morning. Had it drained and biopsied all before 9:30am. AWESOME.

I think that a great concierge family practice would be fantastic. Mine is an adults only practice.

The doctor not 100% up to date on everything and I feel they are getting bad advice pertaining to their son's asthma. Because they are using a concierge, they have hesitated for years to go a pulmonologist and the child has suffered.

That sounds like an issue with the individual doctor, and can happen with non-concierge docs as well.

Yes of course but when you are paying for concierge, you are less likely to shop around. That's my point. And, the concierge is less likely to refer to a specialist because they don't want to lose your business.

Can anyone recommend a good FP doc in Alexandria, concierge or not?

We're looking for a new family practitioner (we're in Alexandria), and are considering a concierge practice - anyone like or dislike concierge practices in general? Or specifically in Alexandria?
