If your son is fine with it, then presumably your fear is that friends hanging out in his room will tease him for having a "girly bed"? But really, I think that the type of boy who would tease another for being "girly" is not the type of boy who would even take any notice of something like a bed frame.

I was expecting something girly based on the comments but really, to me this is not an especially feminine bed. and the bedding/rest of the room will have an impact as well.
