We just had a screened porch built in the fall and put out our furniture and left it all winter. I can see that it is now visibly dirty. I plan to remove the cushion covers and wash them in the washing machine (I have read it's ok to do this but not to put in dryer). Alternatively I will scrub them with detergent and hose them down with water. I plan to clean the fake wicker furniture with a scrub brush and detergent.

Next winter I will probably buy the furniture covers to protect them all winter, as well as roll up the outdoor rug.

We have a screened porch and leave our cushions out year-round. We really just want to be sure to cover when the pollen covers on everything (now-ish) but we're lazy so we'll probably not cover and have to hose everything down.

We have a covered front porch and the cushions on our chairs are from Home Depot. They were 30 bucks each and I just tossed them on some of our older sling back chairs - and they look really good. At this point, I see no reason not to leave them out year round. If they start to mildew or discolor, I'll just replace them.

If your porch is uncovered and/or you have a lot of debris falling into or the rain really comes in there, you might find that they do discolor more quickly.

We have Sunbrella cushions on our patio furniture in our screened porch. We don't have a lot of extra storage space inside and the cushions take up a lot of room in the winter. If we got those patio furniture covers to use in winter, could we leave the cushions on all winter? Or would they need to come inside anyway?

Also, we also have a couple of these cushions on our front porch and haven't been as diligent about bringing them in, and they've been uncovered all winter. I noticed that a couple of them look a little dirty now. Maybe mildew, but I hope not. What's the best way to clean them?
