Yes and would have moved to the top of the list.

Right. The scenairo is: Sibling A is waitlisted for K at #5, Sibling B is waitlisted for PK3 at #204. Sibling A gets in, then Sibling B moves up to slot #1 on the waitlist.

The sibling who enrolled in your last scenario would have to have been on the waitlist herself, right?

Siblings of kids who already attend the school already either got in or were at the top of the wait list, above people like the OP who didn't have sibling preference. But siblings of kids who just got in via the lottery (either to an older grade, or a twin in the same grade) could have been last on the wait list, and then just got moved to the top when their sibling enrolled.

That would be sibling enrolled preference, as in I have a rising kindergartener who is about to enroll and i am therefore entitled to the sibling enrolled preference.

Doesn't the algorithm already take into account sibling accepted preference?

Don't they have to enroll?

Thanks! figured it was something sibling related.

A sibling in another grade got in and bumped up the sibling in your grade to the top of the waitlist.

this may be a dumb question but... i was wait listed at 14 initially and checked the MSDC site and am now 15 - what would cause this?
