I never liked them. Don't do it. And by the way, I think the term is accent wall.

Looking for suggestions! We have a bay window in our kitchen with white plantation shutters. We are going to repaint the kitchen in a neutral color, but I keep thinking the wall with the window would look great with a contrast color. The only thing stumping me is that it adjacent to a room with "paprika" colored draperies. Would a contrast wall near that be too much? I would love that color for a contrast wall there, but don't know if that would work? Or a good contrast color that isn't too crazy? I am terrible with color so any suggestions of color families would be great!
