Basic recipe: 1 cup water, 2 Tbsp dishwashing detergent (like Dawn), and 1 Tbsp glycerin. You can substitute corn syrup for the glycerin, but the glycerin bubbles last longer.

Thank you, kid's science project!

We spent about $2 at Marshalls because kid was obsessed with bubble container that had Elms's head screwed on top. The wand thing has a largre and then a few smaller circles so it actually produces quite a few bubbles and I discovered today that my 2 year could actually blow bubbles for himself (well 90% of time, the other 10% he put the wand is his mouth, so agreed you need to avoid choking hazards).

Does brand matter? Any recommendations?

Here's a tip- spend less than $20 and avoid choking hazards.

I like the long skinny tubes. They are everywhere....target etc. Least mess and tons of bubbles each time you blow. I think the wand makes the difference here because I've used many brands and dumped them in the container.

Really? You bought brand name bubbles? Why not just make your own? Google it, so easy.
