Do you feel you were mature enough for marriage at that age? He definitely wasn't. I think my friend was (she was very mature/responsible even as a college student), but obv. I may be biased.

What did your family think about it? Her family was supportive. His family thought she wasn't "good enough" for their son and treated her like crap.

no regrets. Allowed us to start our career together and be married for years before starting to have kids.
Family was fine with it (my younger sister got married not long after and she is still married too).

I got married at 26, but we have been exclusive with each other since we were 20&21.we knew within 3 months of being together that it was for life. This summer will be 17years. my family is not intrusive so I don't know if they approved or not. I get the feeling his family was not a big fan of me in the beginning.

I would do it all over again. I would say that we are happily married with an active sex life.

We did not come to the relationship with baggage, we created our own baggage together. I think that it has been a pretty easy road for us.

I was 24, my husband was 28. We are still married 7 years later though I feel like we got married too soon. My family didn't care but they tend to marry young anyway. His parent don't like me that much so they would probably feel the same way at any age.

What did your family think about it? I didn't get the impression that anyone thought it was out of the ordinary. My parents were married at 24 and 22 and still going strong, same for in-laws who were married at 22. To head off the probable stereotypes, I'll note that we have graduate degrees and a "1%" household income.
