Yes, Midge and the Elementary school teacher and the step mom. All of them the same type. Even the 2nd wife fits that particular bill.

I loved it. And I'm going to be sad it is over.

The waitress reminded him of Rachel. That's why he dreamed of Rachel the same night he first saw the waitress.

I think Don Draper is still looking for his (dead) mother. Sure, he'll sleep with any pretty floozy, but the ones he's loved are the motherly types.

I found it a bit lame too - everything was on a down beat. Every scene had people talking but not listening to or understanding each other. It felt a bit relentless and hopeless. I don't know where this final season can go with that - into more depressing stuff? I do prefer a bit of balance amongst the drudgery.

And yes, I feel badly for JH too. He seems to be in a crisis and no one can really help with that. Too bad he didn't get to play the Affleck role in Gone Girl as he was offered. I think that would have helped.

It's gotta be hard being a 40 something yo actor who was obscure before knowing that this is a role of a lifetime and he will probably never do better.

Art imitating life.

In all the interviews I've seen, he seems very nonchalant over it ending and has mixed feelings over this iconic role. It makes me sad he was in rehab.

Of all the women, I always thought that Rachel was the best-suited for Don...

Yes - me too. I have been watching every single episode again (have about 10 more to go) and I am more sure than ever that Rachel is the one whom he actually loved.

Well, Rachel and Peggy. My DH thinks I am crazy but I do think Don loves her.

What was the deal with the waitress storyline? I didn't get that.

Interesting that Jon Hamm just finished an alcohol rehab stint. Sounds like he is having issues getting over the end of Mad Men too.

That was a very interesting episode, and what a fantastic opening scene!
I'm going to miss Don Draper ...

Its final episodes start tonight and I have such mixed feelings...

I have watched this show from the start in 2007 and I can't imagine revisiting it, its been such a journey. But I will be sad when it comes to an end.
