It is out of stock, even on B&N online. Yesterday the site said they had it available for pick up at their Fairfax location and I drove all the way there for nothing. They said the website is wrong and they have been out of stock for quite a while with lots of people looking/asking for it.

That's odd. I just put the author's name into Google and came up with several hits. They don't appear to be sold out and both are under $16.

I heard the feature about these books on NPR. The first one has been long sold out, and I just assumed the 2nd would follow suit.

Looks like you can order it online at Barnes & Noble.
They are sold out on Amazon because of the recent news articles about adult coloring books. Give it a month and the fad will fade.

Have you tried Abebooks? International market for 2nd hand books. Usually not as pricey as Amazon.

It is so annoying! Of course there are copies on ebay and some from private sellers on Amazon, but one has the balls to ask over 2k for the book. Other prices are more reasonable but still way marked up.
Since the advent of internet and most importantly, Amazon, I cannot remember that have ever happened in regards of I book I wanted.
Sigh….
