We were given the advice to focus on the ACT not the SAT because the SAT (then and for the immediate future) has the required written portion. We had DD privately coached for ten sessions before the ACT and she stomped it with a 32 composite - - but the written portioni was not good at all. Fortunately, only the math and English portions are reported so she placed well in a University.
